a fresh new face & upcoming workshops
I've been playing catch up for the past few weeks...the story of my life. After a fabulous week of workshops and catching up with friends at Art Unraveled, I headed back home to the Bay Area for a few days to spend time with my friends and family. I co-hosted a baby shower for Maristelle, my best friend from high school, which was quite an event with around 100 people. It's always great to go back home...I really miss the Bay.
In between all the travel, I've been redesigning my website. If you haven't been to my website lately, check it out! I have done a mini REVAMP, which was way overdue. I still have a few more tweaks and additions but now it's much easier to navigate and full of color. You'll find alot more pictures and supply lists for workshops. I've updated the events section with my 2008 workshops and special retreats in BALI, TUSCANY, AUSTRALIA and SANTORINI. I will be updating my shop, downloads and project sections soon.

I just bought your 'Collage Unleashed' book and wanted to say what fun I am having with it. This may seem like an odd question - but what brand of paper towel do you recommend for dying? I tried using some that more or less fell apart and wondered what brand might work better.
It looks as if you had a wonderful time at the baby shower. There's nothing quite like being with old and good friends!

Kate,
Hi there! I'm glad you are enjoying my book. My favorite brand of paper towel to use is Kirkland 2-ply white from Costco. If you don't have a Costco, other brands I recommend are Brawny and Bounty. Although they are not as good as the Kirkland brand for dying, but they will do. :) Enjoy painting and playing!
And yes...there's nothing better than visiting my good friends and family in the Bay...
Artfully...Traci

I love love love your book. I bought it last year and you have given me so much inspiration!
I cannot get enough of it. It goes to bed with me eveynight(that sounds weird) and when I wake up it is back in my studio again. I want to absorb it all!
I love what you say in your book "Let your inner child free your art spirit and creative soul" This has been huge for me in just letting myself play and discover art again. I have so many projects I want to try.
Thank you so much for your wonderful support and encouragement. I hope to someday take one of your classes.
