saturday we spent the afternoon in berkeley.
strolling down 4th street.
a makeshift billboard..a light pole full of texture from torn ads.
oh so YUMMY rich hot cocoa & airbrushed chocolates from chocolate BLUE.
succulents, tea & bamboo housewares at the gardener.
miki's japanese paper store
looking through my lens...
an afternoon of smiles, silliness & exploring...xo~treiC

artJOURNALING daily...a few thoughts...
for me the {snapshots} I capture are a visual form of art journaling. with my camera, I collect a record of sights, textures, interesting displays and colors that creatively influence the design of my journal pages. sometimes the photos are use to inspire backgrounds, others are used as collage fodder, at times I write over the photos but most of all...I cherish the memories of the moments captured.
what is art journaling to you?
what do you collect for your art journal?
is there a certain theme you gravitate towards?
what are your favorite subjects and stories to write about?
what do you draw or take photographs of?
take a few moments to reflect & write...happy journaling!

great inspiration photos.

Dear Tracy, I love everything that you do! For my art journal pages, I collect bits of paper or cardstock i find in my every day life. It can be fruit labels, clothing tags, medicine boxes, tea labels, all kinds of packagings! Here are some of my art journal pages : http://www.flickr.com/photos/nathalienayer/sets/72157625460340608/

I LOVE the posts you've been doing this year! This one...OMG...I wish I could hang out with you in SF or someplace rather than try to make it through another really cold, snowy winter here in ND! Thanks for doing these! I know they take time, but so many of us get so inspired by them and by you! Hugs!
