ONE LITTLE WORD.
to sum up what I want to do and bring into my life for 2013 in ONE LITTLE WORD is quite a challenge.
my artwork is created with multiple layers...I usually work on 4-7 pieces while I paint...I multitask working on 12 things at once...I have over 50 tabs open in Firefox right now{that's just on my laptop, not including my iPad & iPhone}...my to-do lists have 40+ items...my desk, studio table and kitchen table are covered with projects, notes and folders...there are sticky notes on the wall reminding me of all my random ideas and thoughts...there's Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, my blog...a never-ending stream of ideas being shared by all...sometimes I take over 100 photos a week...I have over 30 ideas for new products and areas I'd like to focus on for my creative business in 2013...
my ideas are overflowing, with so much stirring in my mind sometimes things are a bit overwhelming. so for me to choose ONE LITTLE WORD to focus on for 2013 has been quite a feat. Most of the time, I have a hard time committing until the last minute and often overanalyze everything before I make a final decision on anything. I make sure I research and find out all the facts about most things except for when I'm making art...I just go for it. The process has been the same for choosing my ONE LITTLE WORD... brainstorming...researching..writing...thinking...finding...making lists...doodling...creating. Here's a little about my word journey...
I started my word journey by creating a list in Evernote, brainstorming and adding words as they came to me. Since I've been traveling the past couple of weeks, I chose to use Paper 53, my Bamboo stylus and IPad mini to do a little digital art journaling, writing words and doodling to flush out my ideas for my ONE LITTLE WORD.
I've been brainstorming for the past few weeks about what I want to accomplish both creatively and personally...looking back on my successes and failures in 2012...writing ideas...making lists...spilling everything that comes to mind on paper or my iPad.
about ONE LITTLE WORD----> my sweet friend Ali Edwards has been choosing ONE LITTLE WORD to help guide her throughout the year and I've decided to join her in this class. I also found ONE WORD365 with a similar idea and if you search twitter, IG or pinterest for "one little word" #OLW13 or #oneword365 you'll find a bunch of inspiration.
I'll be sharing my OLW tomorrow on my blog. whatever you do to plan for the NEW year...resolutions..one little word...mantras...dream boards...goals...have fun with the process, seek NEW ideas and make it your own!
looking forward to a blessed, creative and inspiring 2013!! xoxo~Traci

I could not agree more Traci! With so much fantastic stimulation it is overwhelming when I try and focus on one media or one image. Looking forward to the results of your direction.
Happy New Year!

So excited to read and see these pretty images!! I signed up a couple days ago for her class and can't wait. This year I'm picking two words, one for my creative side (STORY) and for my personal/family side ( PEACE) hoping both will work good for me this year.
I can't wait to read more about your word for 2013!! What was your word for this year?
My daughter got me your Doodles Unleashed book for Christmas and I've been reading it EVERY night before bed. There is so much to see and read and I LOVE ALL OF IT!!
Hoping to take one of your classes this year, it's on my to do list!!
