  introducing...artJOURNALING daily!

The artJOURNALING daily blog series blog series was originallly started in January 2011 to encourage myself to post more frequently on my blog. I am continuing to add posts and prompts in 2012...i'll post simple creative prompts and ideas to encourage you to make marks and create something artful everyday in your journal or sketchbook. these prompts will be simple tasks you can complete in 5-20 minutes. whether you are a mixed media artist, scrapbooker, painter, art quilter or fashion sewer you'll have a plethora of ideas to inspire your creative artwork!

a few things to do...

1. grab YOUR art JOURNAL/sketchbooks! make, buy or collect paper for your journal. i like to use separate pieces of found paper {i HEART ledger, binder, newsprint and construction paper} then bind them creatively into an art journal.
2. use supplies you already have...i will share a few of my FAVES but be creative with what you own!
3. take a snapshot of your art or project that is inspired by the art journaling prompt.
4. share your artwork on your blog, facebook, twitter {use tag #ArtJournalingDaily} or in the artJOURNALING daily flickr group and post photos of the artwork that you create. I'll be featuring some of your art in my new ARTIST spotlight series on my blog too.
5. my goal is to foster a creative group of artists worldwide who LOVE art journaling. this project is to share ideas and techniques, discover new art friends and to be INSPIRED!
6. SPREAD the word! grab a blog button for your blog sidebar and leave a comment with a link to your blog to share that you are participating. invite your friends to PLAY along!
7. I will have special guest artist sharing art and jumpstarts as part of the artJOURNALING daily blog series. if you are interested in being a guest artist please email me at traci{at}treicdesigns{dot}com.
8. Best of all...it's FREE! JOIN in at ANYTIME! be open to PLAY and experiment! Create art based on the creative prompts, share YOUR art on your blog, share a link to your blog post on my creative prompt post or post a photo in the flickr group!
