There is so much that I am thankful for today and everyday. You have given Ter & me the world. Your LOVE, support and constant encouragement has made me the woman I am today.
I have so many fond memories...family parties at the house playing pool & whiffle ball on the Sport Court, the countless times you drove home from Monterey and we fell asleep in the car...you carried us out of car and tucked us in, our yearly Halloween picture, you teaching me how to ride my first bike at 4, taking me to my first track meet to being my softball coach.
When I was 6, I remember the first time I was up to bat and
struck out, I came back crying and said I wanted to quit. You looked at
me, smiled, gave me a hug and said..."don’t give up and keep your head
up sweetheart." I ended up playing for 12 years, thank you for being at every game
cheering me on.
I remember your patience as you taught me how
to drive a stick shift, cheering me up after my first attempt of getting
my license, the
notes that you left in our lunch pails, the birthday scavenger hunts, helping with
homework, driving to Canada on our "road trip" family vacation, our trip
to volunteer at the orphanage in Mexico, the weekly letters you wrote
during college, your hugs & smiling face to remind me
that I would be okay when I was sad..and so many more loving memories.
I am truly grateful for all the lessons you
have taught me through your guiding example of how to give freely and love unconditionally.
I cherish our daily chats...it makes me feel like I'm home with you and the family.
You have taught me about patience, family and LOVE. Thank your being my teacher in life.
Happy papa’s day! i love you daddy...
