We've
had a 5-day heat way here in the Bay Area, it's been a sweltering 105
degrees here! This summer has been very busy, hence the quietness here
on my blog. As you might have heard, I'm wrapped up in creating art and
writing my third book, so this project has been taking up all my time.
But I've managed to sneak in some personal and family time.
snapshots of my summer days...
- I cherish my daily late evening walks with Tyler and Indie.
- I'm photographing all the art for my new book. I LOVE my Sony A65VK mounted on a Manfrotto tripod with new side arm attachment, makes it much easier to film and take snapshots right above my work, not to mention less pressure on my back.
- everyday I discover a new plant or shrub on our walks...so much inspiration in the shapes, textures and colors of the local flora.
- a little sneak peek of ideas you'll see in my new book...all about printmaking!
- in between writing, I've been fulfilling a few orders for new art journaling collage kits & stamp sets
- little Indie..my sleepy assistant..this is how you'll find her most of the day...taking a nap. what a life..that little puppy has it made. She also turned 1 in June!
- another great thing I love about these summer days is all the yummy organic produce available. I've been cooking quite a bit and roasting veggies.
- we took a weekend road trip to Fresno where I hosted another Graffiti Play party at JoAnn Fabrics. the third from the last photo is on highway 580 on the way back home passing the windmills.
- my parents came in from Hawaii to visit for a couple of weeks, it was nice to spend time with them.
