Throughout the years I have designed hundreds of handmade art journals and idea books. Here are just a few photos of some of the colorful hand stitched, quilted collage books. {scroll through the last photo above to see flickr album}
my process-----> my journals start with a collection of my hand painted papers and fabrics that are free motion stitched together to create textured collage covers. Then I creatively bind the pages together with a variety of woven stitches and freestyle macrame. All of my handmade books have random sized papers inside with creative jumpstarts that include black and white backgrounds, photos, painted and scribbled graffiti. I love to bind books with found and hand painted papers...nothing is off limits.
